Waste Knot

Waste Knot works to reduce textile waste one scrunchie at a time by making hair scrunchies with fabric waste from local Hamilton & Toronto clothing designers, that would otherwise end up in the landfill. We also receive scrap fabric from Earthology, a wax food wraps brand, to turn into Waste Knot products. When creating our scrunchies we focus on quality, so the scrunchies you buy are not only sustainable, but stay put in your hair all day long.

Due to the nature of our fabric sources, our scrunchies come in all sorts of colours and designs, and even fabric type. We also make made-to-order scrunchies so that you can not only choose your favourite colours/styles from our current stock, but we can make special size accommodations to suit your hair type. We also make scrunchies in children’s sizes too.

Waste Knot also offers an exclusive Wedding Party package that can be used for sustainable wedding party gifts and that can be customized to your group. One such customization uses scraps from your Wedding Party’s clothing alterations to create that special added touch.
